# How do I figure out my FLSA pay?

Your FLSA pay is based on your regular pay multiplied by 5.

### Step 1. Determine your hourly regular rate

##### Option A to determine your hourly regular rate
• Take the sum of your hourly base, longevity, premiums, temporary assignment, and education.
##### Option B to determine your hourly regular rate
• Divide the hourly rate of an overtime day by 1.5

### Step 2. Determine your hourly composite rate

• Figure out your hourly special pay. In the FLSA period, take any special pay (e.g. staffer or move up) that you made on your normal shift and divide that by 192.
• Composite rate = hourly special pay + hourly regular pay (from step 1)

### Step 3. Multiply your hourly composite rate by 5

• Take the number from step 2 and multiply it by 5

The calculator below is only an estimate of your FLSA Adjustment amount.

## What days do I receive my FLSA pay?

The FLSA work period is 24 days. On Telestaff, there is a red dotted line to delineate when the previous period ends, and the next period starts. You should receive a FLSA adjustment on your pay check if the FLSA period ended/started in that pay period. For example, the FLSA work period ends on 7/9/2023 and starts on 7/10/2023, so you will see an FLSA adjustment on the paycheck dated 7/21/2023. Below is a list of paycheck dates that should have an FLSA adjustment
